There are at least 10 million individuals across the world who have familial hypercholesterolemia (FH). It is estimated that 650,000 live with FH in the US and Canada and around a million in the EU.

If untreated people with FH suffer a much higher rate of premature death or disability from cardiovascular disease.

Ward Health, Patients and Research and FH Canada Patient Network, are pleased to host an hour-long conversation on familial hyperchlesterolaemia (FH).

Joining the discussion will be David Taylor, Professor Emeritus of Global Health and Pharmaceutical Policy, UCL London, and Durhane Wong-Rieger founder and colunteer coordinator of the FH Canada Patient Network.  Our expert faculty will be:  Dr. Jacques Genest (McGill University), Dr. Jiri Frohlich (University of British Columbia), Dr. Robert Hegele (University of Western Ontario), and Dr. Daniel Gaudet.(Université de Montréal).

Familial hypercholesterolaemia (FH) is a relatively common genetic disorder, affecting about1 in 500 people. Topics to be discussed include:
