High cholesterol patients in BC at increased risk! Help support with request to Minister of Health or BC Legislative Member

July 21, 2016

BC is one of the few provinces (indeed places in the world) where Ezetrol (ezetimibe) is NOT listed as a drug benefit for patients whose cholesterol (LDL-C) is not sufficiently lowered to accepted levels with statins. Because it is available only by special access and is frequently denied, many BC patients, including those with a genetic form of high cholesterol, are living with dangerously high LDL-C. Please read our letter to Health Minister Lake and send your own letter of support to the Minister or to your BC Legislative Member urging Ezetrol be listed NOW.
